Student Council (STUCO)
An opportunity for student leadership at ICS presents in the form of Student Council (STUCO). Students are elected the preceding spring to serve in various positions within the group. Student Council is an elective class but it meets during the HS community period, allowing student leaders the elective times to pursue other interests.
Students interested in running for office must be ready for the challenge of using community time to work on various projects and events like the High School Retreat, Homecoming Week, fundraising, and service. Involvement in Student Council teaches early lessons in working with others, delegating tasks, time management, and organization that become so useful in real-world working situations.
Positions available include:
Executive Committee (requires one year of previous Stuco experience)
Student Body President
Student Body Vice President
Activities Director
Spiritual Life Director
Secretary/Treasurer
Class Officers:
Freshman class President/Vice President
Sophomore class President/Vice President
Junior class President/Vice President
Senior class President/Vice President
Representatives--there are four representative positions
